Ho Chi Minh City, on the morning of May 18th, 2018, Aviva Vietnam was honored to host the Aviva Community Fund Awards Ceremony for 33 owners of winning projects.
After 6 months execution of the Aviva Community Fund (ACF), overcoming hundreds of projects sent from all over the country, the 33 most excellent projects was officially announced. In the morning of May 18th, 2018, at Aviva office in Ho Chi Minh City, Aviva Vietnam and the Vietnam Red Cross Society co-organized awards ceremony for representatives from the winning projects.
With the motto of publicity, transparency and community-based voting as well as the objective evaluation of the professional board of judges, Aviva Vietnam and the Vietnam Red Cross Society hope to bring positive changes and contribute to creating a better community through the selection of quality projects that have the most positive impact on the community.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Ngoc, Human Resources Manager of Aviva Vietnam and Aviva Community Funds Ambassador, said: "In addition to business goals, Aviva has been making a constant effort to contribute to the sustainable development of society to create an ideal environment for current and future customers of the company. With the Aviva Community Fund Program, we hope that the winning projects will bring about the most practical and appropriate changes for every community in Vietnam. On behalf of the winners present at the awards ceremony, Dang Thi Doan, a representative of the "Book and Action" Project who won the highest funding level of US $5,000, shared: “The Aviva Community Fund really gives participants the opportunity to turn ideas into reality for the community and also helps connect, share, and spread the goodwill to the community. The "Book and Action" project in particular and all the lucky winners in general hope to make positive changes to the community with the support and cooperation of Aviva and the Vietnam Red Cross Vietnam."
The Aviva Community Fund Awards Ceremony is also an opportunity for project owners to meet, exchange, learn and share their knowledge and experience in community volunteering activities. Aviva Vietnam and the Vietnam Red Cross Society will continue to coordinate with project owners in the implementation phase to truly bring the idea into reality and contribute more to the society.
The Aviva Community Fund, implemented by Aviva Vietnam and the Vietnam Red Cross Society, aims to call and fund projects from individuals and organizations that bring about positive changes for the community in three areas: Environment, Education and Public Health, with the respective funding levels of 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 US dollars. This is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program with a completely new approach on the digital platform. Overcoming the round of community vote and evaluation from the professional board of judges, the top 33 projects have officially been awarded, receiving funding from the program to "turn ideas into reality".
