Aviva officially launched its brand & long-term development strategy in Vietnam

On August 30th, 2017, Aviva Vietnam Life Insurance Company Limited (Aviva Vietnam) held a press conference to officially introduce its brand and announce its long-term development strategy in Vietnam whose objective is to become a life insurance company fully integrated with comprehensive technology in Vietnam and to deploy community development programs that benefit all our customers and society.

 

 

  • Officially having its brand launched in Vietnam, Aviva made decisions on increasing investment capital and signing a long-term exclusive cooperation agreement with Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank).

After increasing the investment capital by VND 850 billion dong, thereby raising the total charter capital to VND 1.655 trillion dong, Aviva Vietnam officially changed its brand name and became one of the life insurance companies with the largest charter capital in Vietnam market. This is a strategic decision of Aviva Group - one of the world's leading insurance companies with more than 300 years of experience in the global insurance industry - to affirm its commitment of long-term investment in the Vietnamese market.

Accordingly, the development strategy of Aviva Vietnam in the coming time is to invest heavily in digitalization together with the construction of modern infrastructure system to meet the increasing needs of customers in new technology era. “Digital First” is the centric of Aviva Vietnam's development strategy and shall be executed throughout the company's core activities including the development of distribution channels as well as improvement of customer service. Aviva Vietnam aims to become one of the leading life insurance companies in Vietnam by 2020 with superior customer service and advanced technology to provide its customers with the most convenience and the best experience when participating in Aviva’s insurance products.

Regarding business, Aviva Vietnam will implement a policy of developing multi-channel distribution in which Bancasssurance and traditional distribution agents are strongly invested . Recently, Aviva Vietnam has completed the signing of a long-term exclusive cooperation agreement with Vietinbank, one of the leading banks in Vietnam with a large number of customers, modern technology platform and network of branches nationwide. In terms of distribution channel through agencies, Aviva Vietnam pays special attention to develop the force of professional insurance officers, in-depth knowledge of the product and especially equipped with advanced integrated technology applications to give customers the best services.

  •  Announce Community Development Programs: Aviva Community Fund program and Aviva Scholarship Program
Along with its business goals, Aviva Vietnam also focuses on implementing community development projects, typically the Aviva Community Fund (ACF) and the Aviva Scholarship Program in 2017.

The Aviva Community Fund, implemented by Aviva Vietnam and the Vietnam Red Cross Society, aims to call and fund projects from individuals and organizations that bring about positive changes for the community in three areas: Environment, Education and Public Health. The Aviva Community Fund Program is an important CSR program of the Aviva Group and has gained a lot of success in those markets where Aviva is presence. The goal of the program is to help more than 5,000 projects and 2.5 million people globally by 2020. Vietnam is the first country in Southeast Asia to implement ACF Program in 2017.

The Aviva Scholarship Program is a program exclusively for Aviva customers in Asia through collaboration with 11 leading universities in the UK. Accordingly, customers and children of Aviva customers will have the opportunity to receive scholarships up to 20% tuition fees at these universities from Aviva. The program with the participation of many prestigious universities in the UK gives students more choices in designing and developing study plans that are appropriate to their abilities and financial status.
